Vacation: Caitlin's Happiest Place on Earth Part 2 of 3

Three weeks ago the three of us spent three days with our three Leger families in Disneyland. It was hot, and day three was crowded, but it was great!! Some of my highlights were: being there with my four kids, seeing the grandkids excitement as they saw their favorite characters and rode on their favorite rides, yummy Disney treats, finding a bench to sit on, going on splash mountain with Mike and our four kids, buying a Mickey jack-o-lantern, the Halloween decor at the park... but my best moment was when I went on my favorite ride, Pirates of the Caribbean, with our entire Leger family (18 of us) in one boat. Mike and I sat on the last row with William in between us, and as I looked at my entire posterity in front of me I couldn't help but reflect back 28 years ago when we brought our three little boys to Disneyland for their very first time. Our family has sure grown in 28 years, and seeing all of those I love in front of me at that moment, well... it brought a little tear (or two) to my eye. Here are just a "few" pictorial highlights.

TDBC Day 22: Favorite Vacation

The beach is my all time favorite vacation....

But I'm going to blog about my favorite vacation... from last week; that way I can *killtwobirdswithonestone* did I say that fast enough? So here are a few of the picures we took...

We went with my sister, brother-in-law, and nephew to the happiest place on earth... Disneyland!!!

My daughter LOVES Tinkerbell, so when she went into the Bibbity-Bobbity-Boutique and found Tinkerbell's clothes....

she had to have them.

We saw the World of Color in California Adventure for our first time.

Daddy and Caitlin have gone on the Dumbo ride since she was 3... and always in a Dumbo with the pink trim.

As we waited for Caitlin to meet Tinkerbell we met another little Tinkerbell, this is 3-year-old Addison from Australia. She was so cute and had the cutest accent (we saw her again the next day... dressed as Cinderella).

As we three girls stood in line for the storybook ride Peter Pan came walking by. I said, "Hi Peter!" and he came right up to us, oh wait, he came right up to Caitlin and said, "this flower is for you" as he handed her a tiny daisy.

While on Small World I attemped to take a picture of the three of us. Caitlin said, "let me do it mom."

It's a good thing Caitlin did it.

We took a ride down Main Street on a horse drawn cart.

Caitlin and Lilian danced in front of the Emporium.

Ummmm... Bishop??

Michael and Caitlin in their 3-D glasses waiting to see... bugs!

We had a wonderful trip!!

Disneyland!!!

I have been to Disneyland many times, but I believe that this was the longest day I have ever spent in the happiest place on earth; 16 1/2 hours. We went on a lot of rides, ate at the Blue Bayou, shopped, I ate my chocolate covered frozen banana, I spent time with Mike alone, enjoyed being with my siblings, but....I think what I enjoyed the very most was the time spent with my children and grandchildren.

Dad, Mom, and Caitlin; the day was just getting started at 8 am

Jeremy, Emily, and Mason; Mason was very observant on the Jungle Cruise

Jeff, Melissa, and Avery; Miss Avery smiled all day long

Andy and Adam embarking on a Thunder Mountain Railway trip

Andy, Kristin, Adam, Zach, and William; in line for It's A Small World

Taking a train ride around Disneyland; isn't Miss Avery beautiful!!!

Mason meeting his daddy's old friend Winnie the Pooh

Waiting for our turn in the Haunted Mansion; I love this picture of William and Grandpa Bear

Here is Zach on the train; he and I had a date for the Haunted Mansion ride, he assured me all through the ride that I didn't need to be scared because it was fake (whew!)

Zach, Aunt Caitlin, and Adam going on Small World

Jeremy and Jeff going on the Thunder Mountain Railroad

We didn't see a lot of characters at Disneyland; but here are a bunch of "Goofy's"

Our family at the happiest place on earth
